Philosophy:
The human body is self healing and self regulating. This fact is displayed on a daily basis as our heart and lungs, our immune system and other vital organs, function automatically and with precision, without us having to even think about it. It is displayed when we get a cut on our hand and it heals with near perfection. This all happens because our bodies have an inborn intelligence, a life force that is constantly working to move our bodies in the direction of health. This force is contained in, and travels through our nerve system (brain, spinal cord and nerves). The nerve system is so important for life that is it surrounded by bone for protection (skull and spinal column). Unfortunately, due to our high stress lifestyles, our nerve systems can become overwhelmed, it can “short circuit” so to speak. Our stresses can create imbalances in our muscles; that tension that is present after a stressful day or during a stressful event. Because those muscles attach to the spine, that stress that is considered “normal” can actually create misalignments in your spine (subluxations) that interfere with the free flow of the intelligence that is working so hard to keep our bodies functioning properly. Chiropractic is based on these simple principles, that the body is self healing and self regulating, and that the nerve system is the master and controlling system of the body. Chiropractic understands that any interference to the system which controls all body functions would be bad. Therefore, the purpose of chiropractic is to locate and reduce subluxations that interfere with the nerve system. Its purpose is to restore the free flow of intelligence between the brain and the cells of the body so that the body can better communicate with itself and continue to move us towards health.
Hobbies / Interests:
Outside of the clinic, I enjoy spending my time with my wife Jaclyn and our son Moses. We love to get out and enjoy the outdoors by going fishing, camping, hiking, rollerblading or just going out for a simple walk. I am an avid musky fisherman, and love all types of hunting. In addition, I love to play hockey and enjoy watching the Vikings, Wild and Twins throughout their seasons. I also enjoy sitting down with the guitar whenever I get a chance.
